Dubai destination guide

Compare studying in Dubai.

Verify the institution, campus, awarding body, regulator, qualification recognition, total cost and residence arrangements as separate decisions.

Ready Study Global provides education and application guidance. Universities and other providers decide admission. Government authorities decide visas and immigration permission. Tuition, deposits and external costs must be confirmed with the relevant provider or authority.

Questions to compare

Start with the questions that can change the route.

  1. 01

Is the institution and exact programme currently licensed or accredited by the relevant authority?

  2. 02

Who awards the qualification, and how will it be recognised for your intended purpose?

  3. 03

Which campus, delivery model, intake and total provider-confirmed cost apply?

  4. 04

Who would sponsor the student residence, and what separate work or post-study permission would be required?

Education system

Institution, campus, regulator and awarding body must be checked separately.

Dubai includes UAE institutions, emirate-regulated providers and international branch campuses. The institution name alone does not establish the regulator, programme accreditation, awarding body or recognition outcome.

Undergraduate study

Bachelor’s programmes vary by provider, awarding body, campus and regulator. Confirm the exact award and where it is licensed or accredited.

Postgraduate study

Master’s and postgraduate routes can be locally awarded or linked to an international parent institution. Verify the awarding body and recognition position.

Foundation and pathway study

Preparatory routes should be checked for progression conditions, final destination programme and whether the pathway itself carries an award.

Professional and specialist study

Programmes linked to regulated careers require separate licensing, accreditation and employer-recognition checks.

Application and provider checks

Confirm the exact campus and authority before applying.

Applications are provider-specific. Student residence sponsorship, programme admission, qualification accreditation and later employment permission are separate processes and should not be treated as one approval.

  • Confirm the legal institution name, campus, programme and awarding body.
  • Check the relevant federal or emirate-level licensing and accreditation position.
  • Verify how the qualification will be recognised for employment or further study.
  • Confirm entry requirements, English evidence, documents and deadlines.
  • Check tuition, deposit, refund terms, housing, insurance, sponsorship and external costs.

Costs

Use current, scoped information or a safe fallback.

A broad country average can hide major differences between programmes, providers, cities and accommodation choices. Confirm the full practical cost before relying on a budget.

Safe comparison guidance

Tuition, deposit and provider charges

Tuition varies by institution, programme, level and intake. Confirm the current fee, deposit schedule and refund terms directly with the university or provider before applying or paying.

A current, scoped public figure is not published here. Confirm the latest position with the relevant provider or government authority.

Living, insurance and practical costs

Living costs vary significantly by city, accommodation, lifestyle and personal circumstances. Build a destination-specific budget using current official and provider information.

A current, scoped public figure is not published here. Confirm the latest position with the relevant provider or government authority.

Visa and post-study information

Official routes are separate from admission.

RSG does not decide immigration eligibility or provide legal advice. Use current government information and obtain regulated advice where your circumstances require it.

Qualified official information

Student residence sponsorship

A student may reside in the UAE for study under the sponsorship of a resident parent or the accredited university or college at which they study. The institution normally facilitates its sponsorship process, while the applicant must meet the current general residence requirements.

Scope: UAE residence for study. Sponsor, institution, age, documents and personal circumstances can affect the route, and emirate-specific procedures may apply.

Work during study

Any permission to work is subject to the conditions attached to the student's immigration status and may change. Check the current official rules before relying on employment income.

A current, scoped public figure is not published here. Confirm the latest position with the relevant provider or government authority.

Qualified official information

Separate jobseeker route

Graduation does not create an automatic UAE post-study work route. A separate jobseeker visit visa may be available for 60, 90 or 120 days to applicants who meet the current qualification, recent-graduate or professional-level and financial-guarantee conditions.

Scope: UAE jobseeker visit visa. This is a separate visit route, not an automatic extension of student residence or a guarantee of employment or work residence.

Recognition and accreditation

Check the award, not only the brand name.

Confirm the institution, campus, programme, awarding body and qualification recognition for the country and purpose in which you intend to use the award.

  • 01 Confirm the institution and exact campus with the relevant licensing authority.
  • 02 Verify the programme accreditation and awarding body separately.
  • 03 Check qualification recognition for employment, further study, visas or government use.
  • 04 Confirm professional licensing requirements for regulated careers.
